This means that the HandiTrap II™ can measure the VOD in both an explosive sample and a borehole, providing flexibility in data collection.

VOD PROBEROD-HR/HS™: This easily crushed, calibrated rigid resistance short probe (0.2m long) that is suitable for use in low-energy explosives samples to monitor the continuous explosives VOD. This sensor type is typically used with explosives that are detonating up to 3000 m/s and most emulsions. It is compatible with all MREL VOD Recorders.
VOD PROBEROD-OS: This is a very sensitive calibrated rigid resistance probe (0.9m long) that can be used to measure the speed of products that are deflagrating. It is compatible with all MREL VOD Recorders.
VOD PROBEROD-XT: This is a calibrated rigid resistance probe (0.9m long) that is capable of being placed inside of a solid explosive during manufacturing. This has been tested to survive at casting temperatures above 300C. It is compatible with all MREL VOD Recorders.
