“Pencil” Probes were originally developed at Aberdeen Proving Ground for measuring blast effects on structures and humans. This Pencil Probe incorporates an acceleration-compensated quartz element and integral microelectronics for long cable driving, improved stability and low thermal sensitivity. Compatible with MREL’s DataTrap II™ Data/VOD Recorder (Product 1-04-01) and MicroTrap™ VOD/Data Recorder (Product 1-03-01) containing the optional MicroTrap™ Scope Upgrade (Product 1-03-03). Requires excitation power from Product 1-11-03A. MREL recommends Products 1-13-01 and 1-13-02 to hold the Pencil Probe in place. The sale of this item is controlled by federal authorities – export approval must be obtained by MREL for all Customers.
