MREL, the world’s leading manufacturer of explosives velocity of detonation recorders, is pleased to announce the availability of its new TimeTrap™ Delay Time Recorder. This portable digital recorder has been designed and developed specifically to determine the delay time accuracy of detonators during production quality control testing. It is also able to determine the average velocity of detonation of very short samples of explosives. The TimeTrap™ Delay Time Recorder features an extremely high precision timer with microsecond accuracy and input channels that can be triggered by a piezoelectric sensor, photo–sensor, wire burst and optical fibre signals.
